How to Measure a Garment

***Do not wear before taking measurements***

Measuring Procedure

1. Lay the shirt flat on a smooth, even surface.

2. Gently pat the fabric to smooth it out—do not pull or stretch the fabric.

3. Ensure the left and right shoulder seams are aligned evenly.

4. Lay the entire shirt flat, not just the area to be measured, to avoid errors.

Length (2 methods):

1. From the center back neckline to the bottom hem.

2. From the highest point of the front shoulder to the bottom hem.

Sleeve Circumference Measurement (2 methods)

1. Measure straight from the start to the end of the sleeve.

2. Measure following the curve of the sleeve, according to international standards.

Notes:

1. Tolerance of ±0.5 inches is acceptable (e.g., if the length measures 20 inches, 19.5–20.5 inches is acceptable).

2. Size may vary due to different tailoring or fabric shrinkage.

3. Do not measure a worn shirt—always measure before wearing.
