Background of Green Growth Enterprise
Green Growth Enterprise began operations in 1990 and has been in business for over 35 years. The company started by manufacturing and exporting ready-to-wear clothing under its own brand, CALCULUS, to international markets. Over time, Green Growth gained the trust of leading global clients to produce a wide range of apparel, including polo shirts, sports t-shirts, pants, and various garments for both children and adults. The company initially exported to Taiwan and later expanded into markets such as the United States, Europe, the Middle East, and other regions worldwide.
In the past, Green Growth Enterprise manufactured apparel for export to the United States under the brand G-Men, which was sold at prestigious universities such as Michigan State University and Illinois University. The company produced over 100,000 units, including sportswear for the well-known American brand STARTER.
Industrial Adaptation
When Thailand faced export quota challenges, Green Growth Enterprise shifted its focus to manufacturing children’s apparel for leading U.S. department stores, including Wee Play, Sears, Kid-Zone, JPI, K-Mart, and Wal-Mart. The company also exported to Europe under the brands Baby Cool and Kid Cool.
In Australia, Green Growth produced clothing and other products—such as T-shirts, hoodies, long-sleeve shirts, pillowcases, tote bags, and iPad sleeves—under the brands Loose Cannon and Monster Threads. Green Growth worked with Monster Threads for over 10 years before ceasing operations due to unfavorable exchange rates.
Additionally, Green Growth Enterprise was appointed as an official distributor to Monster Threads' partner markets, including New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Hong Kong, and Shanghai, China.
Marketing Strategy Adjustment
When China opened its market and many manufacturers relocated from Thailand to China, Green Growth Enterprise shifted its business strategy to focus on domestic apparel production. The company began specializing in made-to-order garments, including T-shirts, polo shirts, stretch fabric jackets, and various fashion items, as well as providing custom printing and sewing services.
This new policy began in mid-2002, targeting the promotional product market, with order volumes ranging from as low as 100 pieces to hundreds of thousands. For orders under 500 pieces, customers are required to cover the cost of printing block setup or cutting services.
Key Strengths of Green Growth Enterprise
